Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering
The Bachelor of Science Program in Software Engineering is based on the set skills defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Software engineering is the application of a well structured, systematically and quantitative methodology in the development, operation, and maintenance of computational programs, including database systems, ERP systems, CMS systems, and eCommerce solutions.
The program consists of 154 credits, distributed along general education, humanities, mathematics, science, engineering, and computer science. The student will be able to specialized in software engineering by completing course work in software requirement analysis, software design, and reliability testing.
Upon graduation, students should be able to pursue: 1) professional careers within the software industry, 2) graduate studies in Computing fields, or 3) entrepreneurial activities to start their own software company.
